This is a 10 Dollar treasury warrant note issued by the State of Arkansas dated 28 March 1862. At that time, Arkansas had joined the Confederacy and due to the scarcity of paper, they printed their state issued currency on unissued paper from obsolete banks and bank ledger paper. This note depicts Arkansas Governor Samuel Adams at the top, an enslaved person at the left, and an image of a dog at the bottom.
